At Street Food Monthly we want our festivals to be something the whole community can enjoy — while keeping our environmental impact as low as possible.
Events like ours naturally generate waste from food packaging, cups and takeaway containers, so we work closely with our traders to reduce this wherever we can.
Wherever possible, traders use recyclable or compostable packaging and we provide clearly marked recycling points around the site to help visitors dispose of waste responsibly.

Bring Your Own Plate
We’re also encouraging visitors to 'Bring Your Own Plate'. It’s a simple idea that can make a real difference by reducing the number of single-use containers used during the event.
Alongside this, we prioritise local traders and suppliers, helping reduce travel while supporting the fantastic food businesses in our towns. Small changes from everyone — traders, organisers and visitors — help make Street Food Monthly a more sustainable festival for the future.
